QUALITY MODEL FOR SUPPLY CHAIN EXCELLENCE

Globalization and process improvement initiatives are forcing organisations to evaluate and optimize cross-company processes rather than individual entities. Supply chain management (SCM) became critical management approach for integrated control over goods, information, and money within business networks: This demands a new quality management approach which enables delivery of high quality products and services in the right place, in a timely fashion, and cost effectively. This paper argues the needs for closed-loop quality management in supply chains, analyses existing quality models, and proposes the comprehensive framework for supply chain excellence that unifies business and technology domain.
