EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS MEASUREMENT MODEL'S OF VOCATIONAL STUDENT

摘要
The biggest challenge world education is currently producing graduates who have the academic skills, technical skills, and employability skills are balanced. Employability skills is a number of non-technical skills that are can be transferred into different fields of work, is required to enter the working world, to remain on the job, as well as developing a career in the workplace, or for career development at the new place of work. This research is aimed to validate the employability skills measurement model of vocational mechanical engineering students in South Sulawesi. This research method data survey, in which samples taken from the population and research using questionnaires as a gatherer of data. Total of 219 students as respondents in this study. The final model indicated ten factors measurement model of employability skills which are: communication skills, team work skills, problem-solving skills, initiative and enterprise skills, planning and organizing skills, self-management skills, learning skills, technology skills, health and workplace safety, and personal qualities. Based on the analysis, it is known that the manifest variables are valid in explaining the employability skills constructs variable.
