摘要
The dawn of the new millennium will pose a host of challenges to U.S. employers, chief among them - tying productivity to profitability. But productivity, and likewise profitability, can be hampered by repetitive injuries - roughly $20 billion will be spent in 1999 on cumulative trauma in the U.S. workplace. The message for the new, century is loud and clear - Cumulative trauma is the most preventable of injuries and illnesses. And since many of the costs associated with cumulative trauma are likewise preventable, employers can look to injury prevention as a new opportunity for reducing costs and boosting worker productivity.
