摘要
The shear wave velocity profile of the soil is determined by analysing data obtained from Rayleigh wave dispersion experiments. The method of the wave number analysis is used to identify and separate the existing Rayleigh wave modes. Since only the lowest wave mode is required for the data inversion process the quality of the determined shear wave velocity profile of the sub-soil is greatly increased as compared to the case where no mode separation is performed before inversion. The determined shear wave velocities are used in numerical calculations based on the boundary element method to determine the dynamic responses of a surface foundation.
