摘要
In this study, a new hybrid model is developed for estimation of fundamental and harmonic frequencies in distorted power system signals. The designed model utilizes primarily the Newton Rapson method, but in combination with zero crossing and curve fitting techniques. The model takes the starting point for iterations from the zero crossing and make use of the signal function from the curve fitting. The new Model is tested for a distorted signal commonly encountered in power systems in simulation environment on computer. The results, Which are provided in detail in the body of the text, show significant improvements in the accuracy of estimated frequencies when compared with both zero crossing and curve fitting methods if applied by themselves.
