摘要
The effects of catalytic properties and position of carbon deposition in CO2 reforming of methane under high pressure were investigated on NiO-MgO (Ni0.03Mg0.97O) solid solution catalyst, which exhibited very stable activity without carbon deposition under atmospheric pressure. A commercial steam reforming catalyst (G-91) was also investigated as a reference. On the commercial catalyst, a large amount of carbon was observed, especially at the inlet of the reactor. This suggested that carbon could be formed from methane decomposition. In contrast, the amount of carbon observed on the Ni0.03Mg0.97O was much less than that observed on the commercial catalyst. In addition, more carbon was deposited on the catalyst at the outlet of catalyst bed than that at the inlet. This suggested that the formation of carbon from methane on Ni0.03Mg0.97O was inhibited, but the formation of carbon from CO was enhanced and became dominant.
