摘要：

National Museum of Western Arts in Tokyo, originally designed by Le Corbusier, is now on the World Heritage Tentative Lists with his other works. The purpose of our study is to investigate the possibility to restore clerestory windows to original form and reintroduce natural light for the preservation of the authenticity, within the scope of conservation requirements of museum's collections. Some investigations and measurements were conducted in 2009-2010 by a committe of the Architectural Institute of Japan, and guidelines for renovation were proposed.
