摘要
This paper deals with the characterization of two-stage wideband waveguide bandstop filter (BSF) composed of dielectric frequency selective surfaces based on complimentary split ring resonator (CSRR). The proposed filter is designed for X-band application and realized using a WR90 rectangular waveguide. The properties of CSRR as a main part of proposed BSF are characterized based on its physical geometry including the distance between rings of CSRR, the thickness of each ring of CRSS, the gap of each ring of CSRR, the relative permittivity of each dielectric substrate, and the loss tangent of each dielectric substrate. Meanwhile, the dielectric frequency selective structure is deployed on 2 layers of 1.6mm thick Arlon DiClad 527 dielectric substrate. The specific implementation shows that the proposed two-stage waveguide BSF has a wideband response of stopband area in the frequency range from 7GHz to 13GHz applicable for X-band frequency application.
