摘要
Vitamins A, E and beta-carotene are essential to maintaining normal reproduction in dairy cattle. The objective of this study were to determined serum concentrations of vitamins A, E, and beta-carotene as well as some biochemical parameters as kolosterol and trigliseride in dairy cows with repeat breeder and anestrus and their role on the etiology of these reproductive problems were investigated. The Study has been carried out between the months of March and November and total 64 Holstein cows. Fourty-four cows with reproductive problems and twenty controls were used in the study. Cows with reproductive problems were divided into two groups as repeat breeder (n=26) and anestrus group (n=18). Vitamin A, beta-carotene, cholesterol and triglyceride concentrations were determined by spectrohpotometrically. Vitamin E level in serum were analysed using validated a method with high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Vitamin E levels in the repeat breeder and anestrus groups were significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Although the serum levels of vitamins A and beta-carotene were lower in the cows with repeat breeder and anestrus than in the control group cows, the difference was not statistically significant. The triglyceride concentration in cows with repeat breeder was significantly higher (P<0.05) than those in the control group. It was also noted that the level of cholesterol was no statistical difference between these three groups. In conclusion, the low concentrations of vitamins E, A and beta-carotene analyzed may have some effects on reproductive problems as repeat breeder and anestrus.
