摘要
Education enhances human capital and can be a pathway out of poverty. In the process of universal access to schooling, states have been focusing on standard content. School conditions leave little scope to spot and nurture individuality. This tends to reward homogeneity and undermine creativity. However, as the world moves in the direction of knowledge societies, understanding and demystifying creativity becomes critical. This article presents some common myths surrounding creativity and proposes that the time has come to replace old models of sequential and standardized education.
