Bybanen, the city railway line in Copenhagen, will form part of a long-standing traffic infrastructure tradition and inspire the renew of the past and the development of the city conveying the spirit of the age to the travelers through a simple, clear and functional style. The first phase of this fully automatic unmanned system, that will be in operation 24 hours a day in four years, is to be realized by dint of two contracts, both awarded on October 3, 1996. one for Civil Works ( 3 b DKK worth) and the other one, described in this paper, for the Transportation System (1.7 b DKK).
