Microwave education and manpower requirements in microwave engineering

The number of microwave engineers/students coming out of university system and IITs is gradually decreasing. Most of the engineering graduates are opting for software and information technology with the result that there is great paucity of microwave engineers for defense, space, telecommunication and other sectors. The present paper analyses the situation and mentions some of the corrective measures so those microwave engineers are made available In accordance with the needs of the country.
