摘要
We present two real-time image processing algorithms to aid diagnosis in endoscopic procedures. The first is an object detection algorithm adapted to detect small lesions in the wall of the gut. The second is a contrast enhancement algorithm, proposed as an alternative to the existing techniques of chromoendoscopy and narrow-band endoscopy. Both of the algorithms can be implemented in real-time using the parallel-processing capabilities of the Cell chip, developed jointly by IBM, Sony and Toshiba.
