Unconventional superconductivity in the Hubbard-Holstein model

摘要：
Properties of the ground-state wave function is studied for the half-filled Hubbard-Holstein model with two and four sites by the exact diagonalization method. With the increase of the on-site Coulomb repulsion U, the CDW state is changed into the SDW state. Just at the transition region with a very limited range of U, we obtain a state composed of nearly free polarons, exhibiting superconductivity with off-site pairing.
