The text reviews a book recently published in Spain concerning museums devoted to the preservation of educational heritage: a very topica question but also full of multifaceted issues, including the historical development of these institutions and their clear definition and categorisation, along with a statement about their functions and aims as well as their educational role in the 21st century.
