Fractal quantum probability distributions and the classical limit

Computational results indicate that, as (h) over bar --> 0, the angular momentum distribution of the quantum kicked rotator behaves, in the (h) over bar --> 0 limit, as a fractal curve of dimension 1.7. This fractal structure is unrelated to any classical structure. The classical distribution curve can be recovered from the quantum results by cease graining.
