Investigation of operational problems in an industrial wastewater treatment plant

摘要：
Variations in the type of production leading to high fluctuations in water and chemical consumption were the main causes of the problems faced in the operation of the treatment plant of a detergent manufacturing factory. The characteristics of raw wastewater and effluent water were analysed for a period of four months together with a series of Jar Test experiments to search the appropriate type of chemical coagulant and pH adjusting agents. The biological treatment necessitated the application of bacteria culture and antifoaming agent to increase its performance.
