Forming characteristics of AA2219 integrally-stiffened plate subjected to creep age forming

摘要
Forming features of a 435 mm X 293.7 mm integrally-stiffened panel of AA2219, creep-age formed under a single curvature bending radius of 1160 mm at 165 C for 8 h, have been experimentally and numerically investigated. A finite element model has been developed to simulate springback behaviour and mechanical properties of the stiffened plate in creep age forming process. The simulation results indicate that the fmal shape of the panel depends on creep and plastic deformations. Furthermore, creep age forming experiment of the plate has been carried out. The relative error of springback between the simulation and experimental values is up to 11%, whilst average yield strength error is 3.2%. In addition, both simulated and experimental results show that the degree of strength anisotropy is not obvious on the skin, but it is significant for the ribs. (C) 2018 The Authors.
