Revision of the genera and species of the termitophilous tribe Pseudoperinthini (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Aleocharinae)

The aleocharine tribe Pseudoperinthini is redescribed, the definition refined, and a key to genera provided. The genera Indinthus, Austrointhus, Pseudoperinthus, and Malayinthus are redescribed and keys to all species are provided. Indinthus kedahensis (Malaysia), I. selangorensis (Malaysia); Austrointhus giganteus, A. nuttingi A. monteferreus, A. pastinator, and A. torresi all from Australia; Pseudoperinthus koiari, P. jacobsoni both from Australia; Malayinthus bulbitermitis (Malaysia and Indonesia, Sumatra), M. johorensis (Malaysia), M. luzonicus (Philippines), M. thailandicus (Thailand), M. utarensis (Indonesia, Sulawesi), are all described as new species. All previously known species are redescribed and new distribution records for some of them are provided. The behavior and cladistics of the group are briefly described and illustrated.
