摘要
The effect of three different homogenization temperatures (400, 450 and 500 degrees C) soaked for eight hours on LM 4 was investigated. The samples were machined and separated into various zone such as outer, middle and inner before and after homogenization. Hardness and tensile strength were measured for both cases. An increase of hardness and tensile strength was observed from inner region to outer region in as-cast and also in all homogenized condition; whereas the hardness and tensile strength is decreasing when the homogenization temperature is increasing irrespective of the regions. Wear test resulted less wear in the outer region when compared to middle and inner region. (C) 2020 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
