Effects of magnetic field on the morphology of nickel nanocrystals prepared by gamma-irradiation in aqueous solutions

摘要
An extra magnetic field was introduced when nickel nanocrystals were prepared by gamma-irradiation technique. Results of transmission electron microscope (TEM) images showed that the extra magnetic field significantly changed nanocrystals morphology. Possible reasons that resulted in the morphology change were discussed from the angle of the interaction between nickel atoms and the magnetic field. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V.
