Study of τ- → K*0(892)K-ντ and τ- → ηXντ decays at Belle

Based on a high-statistical data sample of 5 x 10(8) tau-pairs, accumulated with the Belle detector at the KEKB e(+)e(-) collider, we have carried out, precise measurements of Br(tau(-) -> K*(0)(892)K(-)nu(tau)) = (1.78 +/- 0.01 +/- 0.10) x 10(-3) and of the basic parameters of the neutral K*(0)(892) meson as M(K*0) = (895.49 +/- 0.18 +/- 0.30) MeV/c(2) and Gamma(K*0) = (48.86 +/- 0.50 +/- 0.69) MeV. The branching fractions of several tau decays involving eta meson(s) (tau(-) -> eta X nu(tau)) is also obtained with much better accuracies than from previous measurements, by carefully scrutinizing background (BG) contaminations. A comparisons are made with some theoretical calculations. (All results presented here are preliminary.)
