摘要
The city of Sofia - the main administrative centre in Bulgaria, with the most compact population, is exposed to a high seismic risk. The ground shaking scenarios for the Sofia municipal area were generated using a probabilistic approach. A reliable geotechnical zonation of the city of Sofia was incorporated in the earthquake scenarios generation. Such scenarios are intended as a basic input for the developing of detailed earthquake damage scenarios for a city and can be used in earthquake-safe town and infrastructure planning.
