摘要
A green and convenient approach to symmetrical biaryls has been developed. The catalytic desulfitative homocoupling of various inexpensive and readily available sodium arylsulfinates in environment-friendly solvent, water, and under clean oxidant, molecular O-2, afforded symmetrical biaryls in good yields. What's more, water can hold the noble catalyst PdCl2 for recycling several times easily, and facilitate separating insoluble organic product.
