摘要
Ma Lun is a well-known writer of the Malaysian Chinese literature. From 1960s to 1990s, his novels represented a reflection of the real world, in particular the care for the disadvantaged, with the twin crucial properties of both moralism and journalistic realism, and an unmistakable focus on exploring the construction and future of local ethnic relations, thus leaving a distinctive mark on the life history of the Malaysian Chinese community in the 20th century. His novels during the said period have also become a model for contemporary Malaysian Chinese literature.
