Financial effects of ISO-9000 certification in American corporations

As quality has played an increasingly important role in global competition; international standards such as ISO 9000 have been developed. This study investigates the basic financial performance of a sample of American corporations which were early registrants to the ISO 9000 standards The rate of post-certification revenue growth was significantly greater than the rate prior to certification. The change in net income growth rate after certification was less significant.
