摘要
Information from a number of hydrogeological and hydrogeochemical studies, performed by federal government and universities, were compiled and analyzed to understand the natural occurrence of arsenic in groundwater in Mexico. As a result, three main hydrogeologic environments were identified: alluvial aquifers (Northwestern, North and Central Mexico), areas of mining activity (North and Central Mexico), and geothermal waters (Central Mexico). General characteristics and most notable examples are presented.
