摘要
This work is aimed at increasing the performance and cost-effectiveness of the combined electric diamond grinding (CEDG). We have investigated contact interaction conditions of separate abrasive grains and the surface of the grinding wheel as a whole with high speed steel (HSS). The problems related to the machinability of tool steels have also been considered since these steels are still widely used in the manufacture of metal cutting and woodworking tools. Though possessing a number of advantages these materials also have serious drawbacks, such as an increased tendency to decarbonization and a high sensitivity to overheating, which reduces their wear resistance. The quality and operational properties of engineering production depend on finding a solution to these problems. We have identified the processes that increase wear resistance, nearly eliminate burnings and clogging of metal bond grinding diamond wheels (DGW), increase the quality of the HSS cutting tools and the grinding and sharpening operations performance.
