A new approach to the 3D triangulation surface reconstruction for slicing contours

摘要
Aiming at the 3D reconstruction of multi-nesting and multi-branched complicated slicing measurement data, a new approach to reconstruct surfaces with triangular facets is proposed, by which the complex cross sectional contours are firstly reorganized into a group of segments and end-faces and then each segment are subdivided into a series of surfaces (it is called as RS-DS method). In RS-DS, the least polar-angle criterion is used for linking two adjacent slices with triangular facets and the updated Delaunay algorithm is adopted to the end-face triangulation. In the end, some typical examples have verified the validity and feasibility of RS-DS method.
