摘要
A micro grid is a small scale power grid which can be operated in the grid connected mode as well as the isolated mode. When it is operated in the grid connected mode, it is connected to the grid at the point of common coupling (PCC). A micro grid normally consists of renewable energy sources, a diesel generator, storage facilities and a central controller. The micro grid described in this paper contains only a diesel generator, a wind emulator and the loads. Designing of central controller is the main objective of this research. This paper discuss how the governor of the diesel generator is controlled via a central controller in both the isolated and grid connected operations. Frequency should be controlled in isolated operation and the power flow through point of common coupling (PCC) should be controlled in the grid connected operation. MATLAB Simulink was used to simulate and analyze both of these situations. This paper discusses how it was used for generating the required result in order to accomplish the mentioned task.
