摘要
Philip Roth, whose creative process lasts for more than half a century, has become a "L.L.L-.Living Literary Legend" in American literary world. His early writings of 1950s and 1960s successfully create a group of Jews of the new generation who dared to revolt against the Jewish tradition, and reflect the secular changes of their surroundings and family lives, revealing their identity anxiety. The image of the new generation of Jews is continuously incorporated into new themes and subjects in Roth's later Writings.
