摘要：
A new pyramid method for edge detection is presented. Optimal stack filters are designed for each pyramidal structure maps of all other pyramid levels including the bottom level are obtained through a procedure of interpolation, adjustment and smoothing based on their immediate higher levels. This method can resolve the problems of noise sensitivity, computational cost and multiresolution image analyses. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
