In recent decades social scientists have frequently debated on the topic of the generations X, Y and even Z, this one being the last both chronologically and alphabetically. If Generation X, which is located between colonial imperialism decline and the fall of the Berlin Wall, is considered "nomad" generation, characterized by a taste for adventure, cynicism and counter-culture, generation Y, speaking into a Smartphone, tends to believe that the world works on Internet speed, and is willing to take their destiny into their own hands and no longer supports social constraints. The ones belonging to generation Z are some perpetual adolescents and their interest in traditional education has declined considerably. They develop a genuine visual culture. Our paper puts forward a reflection on the communication ability of each of these generations, on the appearance / essence report as perceived by each of them, on the priorities, the aspirations and the values they cultivate. It places particular emphasis on online communication because it is found between the real and the virtual and it can lead towards alienation. What can be done to optimize the dialogue between these generations? What solutions will there be for those who come after us? How could this chasm that separates us be filled? These are questions to which education and the educational system could answer to ensure lasting peace in our society, to convey more than just knowledge, to train something other than competences and skills. It is about the attitude that contributes to the shaping of the European citizen, to obtaining a sustainable cohesion on our continent.
