Clinical features and survival in surgical patients with hepatocellular carcinoma related with hepatitis virus

We analyze the clinical characteristics and survival in 175 patients with hepatitis B virus-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HBV group) treated resection and 600 patients with hepatitis C virus-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCV group) treated resection by multi-center study. HBV group were about 6 years younger than HCV group. Liver function was better in HBV group than in HCV group. T-factor differed significantly be,tween groups. A higher ratio of HBV group were big tumor size, the tumor thrombus in the portal vein and in the hepatic vein than were HCV group, and a higher ratio of HBV group had poorly differentiated HCC than did of HCV group. But the survival of HBV group was not significant worse than that of HCV group.
