Rectangular Substrate Integrated Waveguide With Negligible Losses for Multiband Applications

摘要
This paper reported a design of dielectric rectangular waveguide. It is profitable to transmit extremely high frequencies with insignificant losses. The dimensions of the waveguide are 3x2.3x0.015 cm(3). The Polyimide of permittivity 3.5 is used as a substrate. The reflection loss is below -15dB for C, X, Ku and K band frequencies. The return loss is -104.2102 dB and VSWR is 1. The proposed waveguide is of compact size and has multiband performance, insignificant loss and also high performance. It can be used in wireless communication systems.
