摘要
Usefulness of ceramic and non-ceramic insulators (mainly composite ones) as line and station power insulators in MV and 110 kV networks is assessed in the article. The following aspects have been considered: advantages of chosen solutions of line and station power insulation and thread resultant from application of specific type of an insulating system. A set of advantages and faults (threats) of particular types of insulating systems creates an outline of criteria for choice of specific insulating system destined for a given application. For the sake of different requirements and operation specificity station and line insulation is analyzed separately.
