EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES AND DIVERSITY IN HIGHER EDUCATION

By the initiative "Euro 2020" the importance of social inclusion, social cohesion and equality of chances has been amplified. This paper is aimed at debating equality of chance and diversity from the perspective of employees of a tertiary education institutions. This paper also aims, supporting policies and specific programs for equality and diversity in education, policies that need to ensure the prerequisites for learning in an open context. Based on analysis of good practice examples and existing methodologies in the literature we proposed a qualitative analisys method for investigating equality and diversity within Bucharest Politehnica University. The paper disseminates some of the research done within Parteneriate 92116 research project. We intend to extend our cooperation on the european and international level and we start our cooperation with two coauthors from Sapientza University, Italy.
