M-Learning in Romania in the university context

In this paper we begin by acknowledging the importance of e-Learning issues by detailing some of their key features. We then move on to consider research that indicates the importance of e-Learning in Romanian university. With these issues in mind, we explore a conceptual M-learning that bridges the boundary between e-leaming and mobile technologies. We propose a questionnaire that might be considered as important additions to an assessment based on some characteristic of m-Learning. We conclude with some discussion on further work required to validate the idea that M-Learning is necessary to be implemented in the Romanian university context. Knowledge on m-Learning was relatively high among the participants. However the university strategies for technology should be based on learning, and not only be market or competitiveness driven. The Romanian university needs to develop a strategic response to new technology in teaching and Learning in a mobile world.
