摘要：
An new operative procedure for reducing the excessively high bridge of the nose, not by planing it down but by lowering it, is described. Essential prerequisites are the Wegener's basal osteoectomy, which consists in removing the superior branch of the maxilla, the division of nasofrontal suture, the longitudinal incision of the septum and the duplication of the septum. This procedure protects the cosmetically important bridge.
