摘要
The labor market, comprising a conflict of labor supply on the one hand and the demand from entrepreneurs and organizations preferring workers with adequate skills, abilities, and qualifications on the other, is a complicated system existing with an integral part of any national economy. The level of education thus becomes a decisive factor, especially for the employment of the young generation entering the labor market. The significance of addressing this situation also reflects in the Europe 2020 Strategy flagship initiative, which focuses on improving job opportunities in continuity with reducing youth unemployment, which also reflects in the presented study. The first part focuses on the current level of the labor market in the Czech Republic, focusing on regional specifics in continuity with Czech higher education. The second part presents one of the possible ways of solving the current situation based on the results of quantitative research carried out over three years by students of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications of Tomas Bata University and the representatives of regional non-profit organizations having the objective of the development of key competencies in relation to the needs of non-profit entities with the outcome based on the practice reflecting in the cooperation of the academic community and the non-profit sector with the reflection of support for the development of the region.
