摘要
Voltage dip is a sudden reduction of the voltage to a value between 90% and 1% of the declared voltage, followed by a voltage recovery after a short period of time. Voltage dips are mainly caused by short circuit faults, transformer energizing and starting of large (induction) motors. Voltage dip is a local event. In consequence of fault on the power system is affected only local area and lower voltage level in the near fault. In this paper I introduce a category of three-phase balanced and unbalanced voltage dips and a method for their characterization.
