摘要
A study on Home Energy Management System (HEMS) integrated with Renewable Energy Sources (RES) for effective Demand Side Management (DSM) in smart grid is presented. HEMS refers to a network that coordinates among various appliances in order to save energy and minimize its cost. Energy cost minimization model is solved using single Knapsack algorithm, in addition scalability analysis with respect to number of appliances is also performed. Some of the challenges of HEMS, RES and DSM are also discussed. Simulation results prove the effectiveness of the approach.
