摘要
Interoperability is the ability of different organizations to perform a temporary connection in order to get a common result, and then, disconnect themselves and return to their previous states. In healthcare, large and diverse amount of information is generated throughout the patient care process and communication becomes a critical issue because different individuals or organizations communicate using their own natural languages. Due to that, this paper looked up towards the necessary requirements to enable processes semantic interoperability in health organizations. Through a systematic literature review, this paper envisions to identify what are these elements so a greater understanding about semantic barriers impact is acquired. This investigation was concerned with requirements that are aligned with organizational structure and not to information systems configurations or data structures. Surely, the results show that semantic interoperability is closely related to information system configuration, highlighting that further investigation in needed to comprehend such requirements.
