摘要：

Luminous supersoft stellar X-ray sources have been established as a new population of accreting binary systems by the discovery of several systems during the ROSAT All-Sky Survey and follow-up multi-wavelength studies. We summarise recent observations and theoretical progress in the interpretation of supersoft X-ray binaries and present the first Chandra LETG high-resolution X-ray spectrum of RX J0439.8-6809.
