Using the dynamical features and constraints of the Restricted Full Three-Body Problem (RF3BP) we design a robotic mission at a binary asteroid system. The case of relative equilibria between the bodies is assumed for an ellipsoid-sphere system. In this work, we give an overall mission design for planetary exploration accounting for the particular dynamics of the binary system. We use previous work on energy constraints on the motion of a spacecraft and transit trajectories between the two bodies from investigating the linearized dynamics at L-1. We discuss the mission subsystems and the dynamics and control of cooperative hoppers performing surface investigation. The binary asteroid system 1999 KW4 is used as a case study and results are shown.
