摘要
Free-standing TiO2 nanotube arrays membrane is a kind of novel multifunctional membrane. Due to its unique functional properties and structures, the membrane proved to be very efficient when using them for filtration applications, as catalysts for purification of water and air, as photoanode for splitting water into oxygen and hydrogen or as templates for secondary material nanotube/nanowire formation. A review of free-standing TiO2 nanotube arrays membrane is conducted with an insight into its anodization formation and separation from the substrate. This review also includes key functional features of free-standing TiO2 nanotube arrays membrane and also indicates potential future applications of the membrane. In view of the existing problems, the prospects for future development of free-standing TiO2 nanotube arrays membrane are also proposed.
