On Application of Ethnic Style Elements in Web Design

Web design is the cross-discipline of an emerging design and networks, with the development of the networks,, which have attracted people's attentions in recent years. Considering the network as a carrier, web design expresses the information in the quickest and most convenient way. Meanwhile as a new form of visual performance, although it develops not in-a long time, it is compatible with the traditional characteristics of the graphic design. What's more, it has its own characteristics, such as, multimedia, interactivity and continuity. If web design wants to be outstanding in the dazzling cyber world, it must have its own unique and distinctive art characteristic. The elements of ethnic style as the valuable cultural heritage can be used in the web design, it can make this web outstand from many other webs and also make these elements attract viewers' response. This thesis hopes to give the modem web designers some enlightenment through the exploring the elements of ethnic style's entrance and helps them to develop the web design both in fashionable and having great ethnic flavor.
