A joint precoding and scheduling technique for multiuser MIMO systems

摘要
We present in this paper a joint precoding and scheduling scheme for a Multiple-Input-and-Multiple-Output (MIMO) downlink or broadcast channel. This scheme considers a tradeoff between optimizing system sum rate throughput and guaranteeing a constant fairness among users with low computational complexity. We compare the performance of the method in terms of sum rate throughput with that of the well known 'Dirty Paper' precoding as well as MIMO TDMA systems. Our numerical results show that the system performance converges to the upper bound when number of users is large.
