Monophyly: A criterion for generic delimitation, with special reference to Leguminosae

摘要：
The concepts of systematics, similarity, homology, monophyletic, paraphyletic and polyphyletic groups, generic delimitation and classification are discussed with reference to three recent phylogenetic analyses, above the genus level, in the family Leguminosae. The aim is to suggest explicit methods for recognising genera in an attempt to achieve relative stability of names within a natural classification.
