摘要：
This paper concerns preliminary work aimed at the development of a soft sensor for the local pulp velocity in a thermomechanical pulping (TMP) refiner. The proposed approach is to combine a mechanistic model with actual steam pressure measurements made inside the refining zone. Preliminary results indicate that the method is feasible, but that an additional sensor may be required. Implications for on-line application are discussed.
